AFL have clash jumpers gone to far?

I liked Collingwood's black with white stripes with their clash jumpers being white with black stripes. In the old days, the visiting side would wear one colour of shorts and the visitoes another. For example, Nth Melbourne at home to Collingwood, Norths wore blue shorts and Collingwood wore white.
