What to do after confessing to the guy you like?

There is this dude, I told him I liked him thinking that he had the same feelings back, but now I'm not so sure. When I told him "I really like you", he put his arm around me and smiled saying,"Awwww, Sarah! Your such a good friend!". When we were saying our farewells (as we walked off to cl) he touched my arm while saying "bye". I am sooooo confused, its not even funny! Does he like me? What should I say now to him? ( I won't be able to see him as often, we have no cles together) Should I ask him out or ask him if he likes me too? HELP!
