Game in pc takeing long to load help??????

i put the sims in the pc and its loading there a lil disc and its takeing to long to load and it sais unable to authenticate disc within time limit and than it sais insert the orginal disc instead of a backup (1000) the game is bran new i was playing it before whats going on
