Is it sign for something? today is my birthday and he didnot call?

I was expecting that my bf will call me today at 00:00 to wish my birthday but he didn't say or wish me happy BD, i just found 2 msgs in the morning from my friends and nothing from him. 2 hours ago, he chat with me and he didn't even say anything. Is it possibly that he forget it or he just doesn't care anymore?
