Is Numatex Inc. in Florissant, Missouri a reputable Oil Exploration Company or a fraud?

I have an elderly friend who made a substantial investment with Thomas Wiley, President of this company several years ago and was promised a refund if requested. This friend is in need of her investment back and was told she would not get her money back. In the beginning they sent her quarterly checks, now she gets nothing. They won't take her calls or respond to the messages she leaves. This investment was to give her an income for her 'ending years', guaranteeing her financial security when she had need of it. How can she find other share holders to find out what their experience has been or was she a victim of a well organized scam?
