Why do many people still follow Jesus even though he clearly lied?

Well, they were also supposed to rebuild that building in Jerusalem but that still hasn't happened. And he was supposed to come from the line of King David, but he really didn't. Back then they didn't use the mother as a blood line. But how convenient that they did for Jesus. What a joke really.
